Stand-alone Professional Light Control PIR Detector
GL-3 is a professional stand-alone outdoor motion detector for light control applications with an ultra-wide angle of 145o. Using a 110-240VAC supply, and employing a special heavy-duty power relay, the GL-3 directly controls various types of lighting devices with a maximum load of 2kW. It is typically used to deter intruders, welcome guests, promote personal safety, and reduce security lighting costs.
GL-3 provides three layers of detection zones, with a maximum coverage of 12 x 18m (40 x 60ft) / 145o. Thanks to its built-in swivel bracket design, the GL-3 detection pattern can be easily directed to the desired position, providing outstanding flexibility and ease of installation.
Further adjustment of the detection pattern is provided by a built-in range control. Offering 90o coverage and a special mechanical design, the GL-3 is ideally suited for corner-mount installation.
GL-3 allows users to select the length of time the lights will operate, from 4 seconds to 5 minutes. The lights are re-lit each time motion is detected, remaining lit with no interruption if motion is continuous. Users can operate the lights manually while the GL-3 is in operation.
In addition, the GL-3 has a day/night photocell sensor designed to enable the unit to operate during dark periods only. A light level control allows users to easily select the ambient light conditions at which the GL-3 will automatically operate, including fully lit periods.
