Designed for use with Visonic’s PowerManage receivers for alarm signals and visual verification, the GPRS Data Calculator provides central monitoring stations with a powerful, yet easy-to-use tool for planning installations and for optimizing their cellular data costs.
GPRS cellular communication is used for transmission of alarm events and images for visual alarm verification and it is increasingly used as a convenient, secure and low-cost alternative to traditional PSTN lines. Since monitoring stations typically provide their customers with an all-inclusive service package that includes all transmission costs, the projected cost of cellular bandwidth is an important element in budgeting and service pricing.
